This website, South Island Hidden Gems at southislandhiddengems.com (“we”, “us”, “our”), is an independent guide to the quieter places of New Zealand’s South Island. Tours shown here are sold by GetYourGuide, which pays us a commission when a booking is made through this site. This page explains what personal data is involved.

Information We Collect
This website runs no analytics of its own and has no forms or accounts. The only personal data we receive is what you send us:
- Email: if you write to us, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to reply.
We do not collect, store, or process:

Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. The option pages and some guides embed GetYourGuide’s booking calendar, and every page loads GetYourGuide’s partner script so that bookings made through this site are credited to us. When those load, GetYourGuide receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies; their privacy policy explains how they use them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
- GetYourGuide: processes all bookings, serves the embedded booking calendars and the partner script described above. Review their privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: This site’s design loads type from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com; when your browser requests them, Google can see your IP address and user agent. Review their privacy policy.
- Netlify: hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers record standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested). Review their privacy policy.
